Monday, April 30, PM. Any one have idea how to call 32 bit ODBC from the 64 bit applications on the 64 bit operating systems Please help in this. Tuesday, May 8, PM. Hello friends, I have a little bit the same problem only in a different way. On the application server I installed my application and also the 32bit Oracle Client of 10g, because it is a 32bit application, and configure also a 32bit ODBC using "odbcad Now the problem: To make a better work with the application together I use Microsoft Excel a 32bit application and I want to import some data from the database directly in Excel.

I looked on different forums for some solution but I did not find anything which describes how works 32bit applications on an 64bit Windows. I tried also to install Excel into the "Program Files" folder and not only in the "Program Files x86 " folder but the situation is the same.

Also Windows checks at installation time when you want to install in the "Program Files" a 32bit application that this is wrong and automatically the application will installed into the "Program Files x86 " folder. Solution: I do an installation more and I install Excel directly under the root directory e. Therefore I look how to install a 32bit application on a 64bit Windows to use 32bit installed drivers for example from Oracle.

If you installed not in this folders than you have a better quote to get your functionality. Thank you for your response. Friday, May 11, AM. Tuesday, June 5, PM. Thursday, June 7, AM. I have set up my web application on Windows Server 64 bit. I am running IIS in 32bit mode. I have also created DSN for 32 Bit using odbcad I can see DSN and Drivers there.

If I test the connection froem there ,I get successfull connection. Friday, July 20, PM. Has anyone found a solution for this. Thanks in advance, Gaurav Dixit. Wednesday, November 18, PM. Gaurav, Have you tried the post marked as Answer above?

It looks like you need to have a DSN created that is the appropriate bitness for your application.
