Participants in the Acceleration Program invariably achieve excellent VCE results, and are admitted to a tertiary course of their preference — along with other students of The University High School. Admission to this program is at year 7 level only and the selection process involves a series of tests and an interview. PSU reserves the right to cancel low enrolled sections if necessary. Students are responsible for understanding the policy on dropping courses and following it. Students will be responsible for any expenses incurred due to a dropped course, and for all tuition and associated costs resulting from a failed course.

A valid University of Pittsburgh ID card allows students access to University facilities and events such as libraries, athletic events, and recreational facilities.
